DUNTUG 1: Mt. Bidawan (Ave Maria), Itogon, Benguet

December 2013 Trip with Daphne and Sara.

I've completed visiting the must see places in Baguio City (wait for it on this blog. hehe) so as of this trip I am considering other nearby municipalities. I'll be checking first on Itogon.

HOW to get there

-ride the PUJ goin Poblacion,Itogon. Tell the driver you're going to Ave Maria

This is where the walkaton begins. 1.5-2 hours depending how fast you are and how much time you spend in taking pictures. ^__^

Take the Ma-nit path.

Take the Tokok path. 

First station we found, I dunno where the 3 others are. You'll be guided by the cross along the way. 

How many stations? 14 po. 

Yes, you can take a bath here. Water is not potable.

Take the red doodled path. ^^

Tadaa. Finally, you're here. 

Expense

-30php -fare >>yun lang. (syempre multiply it by 2 para back and forth)

-required po ang guide. daan muna po kayo sa barangay hall nila.  i dunno how much though.

-may envt fee din po. i dunno show much again.sorry.aha

Other Stuffs

Better get there early. mainit pramis tas so you could also descend earlier. 

The jeepney is usually full when goin back to town so you better ride the jeepney goin to its turning point. Hindi rin sila 24 hours. They stop around 5pm and depende din kapag peak season pwede sila mag extend.

Please follow the "leave no trace" principle.

You wont find any other stores except for the one near the drop off point so please buy food and water in town already. Remember, you'll walk for 2hours to get to your destination. Stay hydrated.

May signal along the way. Wag mataranta. pwede kang magtxt.

Always close the gates. may mga baka.
