CAVE 1: Ambongdolan, Tublay, Benguet
January 2012
Bengaongao Cave, Paterno Cave
The good thing with working - you can earn to pay for your travel. The good thing with being an on the job trainee - they pay for your trip. I wanna thank the Office of the Provincial Accounting for giving us this opportunity.
I did not bring my camera for the first cave so most of the stalactites and stalagmites in my collage are the ones seen from Bengaongao. Paterno cave has a narrow entrance, you gotta do some crawling and some other stuffs that makes you feel alive. There are lots of rock formations visible especially with creative imaginations. The caves, as the tour guide has said, was where Paterno and some other men hid during the Spanish Era.
How?
-contact the Ambongdolan Barangay Hall, they are the ones who will guide you (if you're not from Benguet and you don't have any idea, just go to the Provincial Capitol and ask help from the Office of Provincial Tourism) As for the fee, I think it's more than 100 per head.
(above photo is from Bengaongao cave - water occupies this space
during rainy season)
